SAUSSIE # 2
That these listings in Census of victims of "Natchez
massacre" 1729-1730 from LAHQ [Louisiana Historical Quarterly] 1, No 3 (1918) at 130-131
are part of the story:
168. "Saint Fran ois" - his wife living and married to
Maupierre. Note: Montpierre is enumerated
in 1726 census of Ark (Ar Colonials @ 3)
indicating Fran ois Saussie died at Terre
Blanche during Natchez uprising between 1 Nov 1729
and 1 Aug 1730.
94. "Baptiste - carpenter from Paris, came as a
soldier" was killed at Natchez Post.
Could be related Magdelaine Baptiste m.
to Fran ois Saussie and Jean Baptiste
It would seem any continuation of Saucier
surname this line would have to be through Michel
who probably was only son of Fran ois in view of age
in 1719 as 18 years and death ca 10 years later.
