In Oct 1743 was widow; petitioned AR Post Comdt. to inventory & appraise the possessions
left & coming from her marriage to the late J.F. Lepine, her husband, so that she
could give to her married daughter & her husband their share of the estate "as they
had lost all their property when taken prisoners by band of Chickasaw Indians."

Shows the Lepines as pioneer farmers at AR County, producing and Tobacco as well
as an entrepreneur of export and import. Export oil & fat rendered from bear & other
notes probably for outfitting hunters & trappers who made AR Post Hdq. for expeditions up the
various water courses to the AR interior.
Ten Apr 1744 Catherine /S/ MC [marriage contract?] at NO with Charles Lincto (Lanquetau) (Lintau)

with mother. Catherine + her 2nd husband continued to live at AR Post. Along with
married dau + husband. A 1749 Census indicates the Linctos had cont'd to prosper
