Dear Mrs. Core:
Happy New Year! And many thanks for the little book, it does look
interesting, and I appreciate your kindness in the autograph as well.
I might not be able to help too much, I am so far behind in my work.
I had some vacation time left, so before Christmas, the week before,
my husband and I flew out to Arizona to spend some time with his brother
and family. We just returned this Monday, so today is really "loaded"
with correpondence, weddings to be entered, baptisms to be entered,
plus current ones. Don't know when I'll get caught up, if ever.
The marriage of PIERRE COUGNON reads thus:
In this year of 1723 and the 27th of April, having received the
mutual consent of marriage between PIERRE COUGNON a native of
Savoy and of MARIE POITEVINE a native of Poitou, I the undersigned
have joined them in marriage in presence of witnesses
being BROUARD, DREUX, LERINGEAU, BONNE, /s/ Fr. Bruno.
