From "Inquiry in case of Germain vs. Allain, at Pointe Coupe"....
25 June 1751 - Testimony of Antoine Sarrazin....
"On the same day Antoine Sarrazin, aged about thirty years, after oath to speak
the truth, said that he was the son of Pierre Germain's deceased wife, that there
was no issue of that marriage.....,."

Dear Mrs. Vidrine,
I thought I had SARRAZIN during this period and at this place worked out
but this certainly is not consistent with....
Marriage Contract 2 Jan 1742 - PIERRE GERMAIN, widower of Anne Gerlain, son
of Jacques Germain and Dimanche (?) and MARIE ANN CHEVAL, dau. of Francois
Cheval and Marguerite Colombe
Marriage Contract 6 June 1747 - ANTOINE SARRAZIN, son of Nicolas Sarrazin and
Anne Roland, and Marie Cotton (Colon), widow of Jean Rondot
[handwritten note in left margin]
>Please I need source of this M.C.
I have Pt.C. mg. 26 June 1747 which gives her parents.<
Was there another Antoine Sarrazin in the Point Coupe area during this
same period of time?
Will appreciate any light you can shed on this.

>Dear D, you hit a snag in Gerlain that confused me for years!
Anne Gerlain + Pierre Colon were parents of
Marie Colon b. ca. 1708 d. Jan 1778 (Vve Toussaint) Pt. Coupée
m. 26 June 1747 Pt.C. I p. 77 (she is widow of Jean Rondot then)
to Antoine Sarrazin b. ca. 1721 d. 26 Feb. 1764 Pt. Coupée
So he is son-in-law of Pierre Germain's deceased wife.
