Blacks Dispersed MARIANNA, ARK. - Two hundred and fifty black students were dispersed and 22 of them were arrested after they left classes and assembled on the campus of the high school here following the refusal by school administrators to grant a list of demands, including a request for a special program honoring the late Martin Luther King’s birthday. Later, 250 black adults drove to the school and read a letter demanding the resignations of Supt. Henry C. Dial and High School Principal Robert Blankenship. More than a hundred of the blacks then drove to Little Rock to air their grievances, but Gov. Dale Bumpers did not meet with the group. Meanwhile, Mrs. Blankenship reported anonymous telephone callers had threatened the lives of her family.
