The Charlie Song
I got up early and went out to feed,
I heard Charlie holler sic him old lead,
Ho dum fuddlelink a dandy.
I went to the barn and I fed mighty quick,
I heard Charlie holler come here Dick Ho dum fuddlelink dandy.
Run to house as hard as I could tear,
Charlie said Dick I've found me a bear,
Ho dum fuddlelink a dandy.
Roy grabbed the poking stick, Charlie grabbed the gun Dick grabbed the chopping ax and away they run,
Ho dum fuddlelink a dandy.
Run back to the house go right straight,
Ring John Fultz, go get Jim Tait,
Ho dum fuddlelink a dandy.
She went to the phone and give the crank a twist, Nobody answered so she done like this,
Ho dum fuddlelink a dandy.
Went upon the hill and all they could find was one old sow and ten little swine,
Oh but wudn't she a dandy.
