Description | In a four page handwritten letter from Holt to his wife sent air mail from Italy, he lets her know he received a letter dated November 27th, asks about her Thanksgiving dinner and tells her about things he saw during the crossing of the Mediterranean, including Mount Vesuvius and the Isle of Capri. She has asked about putting an article in the paper, which he is fine with but is sad to hear some bad news about her father, Kitchel. They had just been attacked by the Germans, and it was too traumatic to relay yet. He explains reductions in her allotments because of changes to other allowances. It has been a hard wet couple of days. |
Notes | Mt. Vesue is Mount Vesuvius. Uses Jerrys for Germans. |
