My Dearest Sweetheart Italy June 7/44 Hello Darling & how is my best girl to-day. I am going to start this, but may not get to finish it this afternoon. Right now we are waiting on another move. It seems like that is all we do now. This will make twice to-day. Well Sweet we are no longer on the road to Rome, as you undoubtedly know by this time. Rome is a very beautiful city. I wasent prepared for what I saw there, we werent there long enough for us to see near all of it, but what I did see was a sight I won't forget for a long time. The people in Rome was sure glad to see us. There are many who speak good English. It sure seemed good to see some one who you could talk to and understand them. I guess our next stop will be Berlin & then Home. At least that is the slogon I have seen on many vehicles recently. Honey I saw so much that I would like to tell you about, but I couldent begin to get it on paper so just won't try it. Honey I got the 3rd page of your letter of the 19th this morning. Also a letter of the 22nd. Was sure glad to hear. I havent written many air mails lateley on account of the moving all the time, but will try and write more since they are comming in so much faster.
