1st Sgt R.L. Holt Mrs Richard L Holt Btry "B" 936th FABR Fayetteville, Arkansas A.P.O. 464% Post Master RFD #5 New York NY May 6, 1944 My Dearest Italy Well sweet here it is the close of another day. And it finds me about as usual. It also brings to me the song of Oh those lonely nights. Your nice long V mail of the 22nd came to-day. Was sure glad to hear, and sorry that Mary isn't doing so well. Maby tho by now she is about to get straightened out. Yes Honey I expect you will have lots of fun on that three way move you say Bamby & the rest of them are making. I know that Bamby will be glad to be back home. But I don't see what she wants with a house. She might just as well of stayed where she was. I am glad you got your bed spread. I was beginning to wonder about it. Capt Kelleys wife hasent recieved her pkg he sent her the same time I sent yours. Honey I am like you I don't believe [Modene] & [Alton] can get along together very long. The kids will cause to much trouble I am afraid. Do you ever see Vince & the girl. Nobody has mentioned her in their letters recently. Well sweet looks like I will have to get another page, as I have a little more to say I love you Lee
