University of Arkansas Alumni "Brooks Hays for Governor Club" LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS June 12, 1928. This is a letter of introduction for Brooks Hays, Candidate for Governor. Mr. Hays is a graduate of the University of Arkansas and received his L. L. B. Degree at the George Washington University Law School in 1922. He was admitted to the Arkansas bar the same year and practiced law at Russellville until January, 1925, when he became Assistant Attorney General, in which capacity-he served the State with credit and distinction. It is a pleasure and a privilege for me to be able to ask you to consider Brooks Hays for your next Governor, for if he is elected, he will be to Arkansas what Dan Moody is to Texas - A God Send and a Blessing. We need Youth to carry on our work and Brooks Hays has the Youth, together with the Ability to meet any problems which might arise. If Mr. Hays comes to your town, make it a point to see him and hear him talk. He is not a politician, but a Statesman. Tell your friends about him and Let's have the honor of doing our part in electing him for our next Governor. Sincerely, JC.p
