Content Notes	Located on corner of South Block and East Rock Streets. Typed by William Simeon Campbell on photograph: "Above: Masonic Lodge memorial tablet marking site of Washington Lodge No. 1 oldest west of Mississippi River - set in corner of grounds below. Below: Original Masonic Lodge building, corner S. Block and E. Rock Streets, Fayetteville. Archibald Yell gave the lot, $100 in cash, and did much of the carpenter work. * Ten years later he marched 1,400 men to Mexico. He marched these men through the streets of Monterrey, in front of the church seen on opposite page, and 25 miles beyond to Buena Vista (Saltillo) where he was killed in battle. His body was shipped back to Fayetteville."
