Written by William Simeon Campbell on album paper below the photograph: "East of the business section of Fayetteville, Arkansas, is the section where the colored people of the town lived in the last century. It became known as "Tin Cup." Many of the colored people were thrifty and built themselves comfortable homes. Here is a late model. That gas meter lends the note of modernity to this landscape. To have one's own home is the yearn of humanity. Salute this one!" |
