The Billy Goat Song
Pa Bought him a great big billy goat,
Ma she washed most every day,
She'd hang the clothes out on the line,
That darned old goat would go down that way.
He took down Pa's old red shirt,
You should have heard those Buttons crack,
But I'll get even with the son of a gun,
I'll tie him across the railroad track.
I tied him across the railroad track,
The train was coming at a powerful rate,
He coughed up Pa's old red shirt,
And flagged down that darned old freight.
I went to the depot and Bought me a ticket,
I walked right in and I set right down,
Put my ticket in the Band of my hat,
The wind came along and Blew it out on the ground.
The conductor said you'll have to Buy another,
Or Be left standing on the track,
But I’ll get even with the son of a gun,
I Bought a round trip ticket and I aint coming Back.
