Reel 305 Item 13
Old John Armstrong couldn't hear very good. Some of the neighbors over there decided it'd be a pretty good trick to put a dummy over there on his porch, so they'd run up there and they'd knock—then they hid. 01' John come out, said "How do you do boy."
The ol' dummy didn't say nothin, you know.
And he turned around to his boy and said,
"What’d he say?" "Nothing, Pa." "Listen here boy, you'd better say something." "What'd he say, boy?" "He didn't say nothin." He got his old shot gun and stuck it up in the air—"Blooie! " The neighbors pulled the dummys string and it fell over. 01' John said "I guess I killed a man."
That's a true story.
