Green Forest 12/29/59 Reel 333, Item 12
DOWN THE RIVER
I went to New Orleans A walking all about They put me in a coffee pot And poured me out the spout
Down the river children Down the river children Down the river children I'm going to go home.
I went to see Miss suzie
she was standing in the door
with her shoes and stocking in her hands
And her feet all over the floor.
When the black came to the crop without a limb at all I made a grab at the raccoon's tail And I caught a terrible fall
I stood on a rock I saw the stars and moon The old black dog grabed me And shook me for a coon.
When I go to travel I travel on the train And when I go to marry I marry Liza Jane.
