Reel 280, Item 8
He Wanted to be in Arkansas (Carrol County, Arkansas)
So I'll skip out and hear them shout And be in Arkansas.
I rode down to Harrison In a couple of days or so; I turned my eyes westward,
Eureka I did go.
The crowd they followd me on towards Eureka,
And told me to hush my jaw,
Or I should lie in the Berryville jail,
Carroll County, Arkansas.
They captured me on King's River;
I might of killed the crowd
If it hadn't of been for the shacklin' chains
That rung so clear and loud.
Now I'll go back to old Berryville,
Go through a course of law?
Then I'll take a ride by the Marshall's side To Little Rock, Arkansas.
