Reel 283, Item 10
The Heavenly Airplane
One of these nights about twelve o'clock,
This old world is going to reel and rock,
Sinners are a goin to travel and cry out in pain,
For the Lord is going to come in his airplane.
Oh! you first here every tribe,
Get your tickets for an airplane ride.
Jesus our Savior is coming to reign,
And you take yourself to glory in his heavenly airplane.
Talk about the joy of an automobile,
Talk about your fast time on motor wheels,
But we'll break all records as we upward fly,
In an airplane joy ride to the sky.
There'll be no punctures or muddy roads,
No broken axels from an over load,
No sparks to trouble or cause delay,
As we soar to the rapture at the milky way.
If you want to get ready for to take this ride,
You must quit all your sins and humble your pride,
You must furnish a life boat bright and clean,
And a vessel of aoil for to run the machine.
When the journey is over and they all sit down,
At the marriage supper with a harp and crown,
We'll blend our voice to the heavenly throne,
And praise our Savior as the years roll on.
