Reel 357, Item 14
Our Captain had a
Not far from the Cimarron,
Long come a stranger And stopped to argy some.
I asked the stranger if he'd had breakfast, And he hadn't had a smear,
I opened up my old grub box And bid him to have a share.
He take a cup of coffee,
A biscuit and some beans,
He commenced to talkin'
"Bout some far-distant king and queens.
He say he'd lost his job Way down in Santa Fee,
He'd like to borr', a good gentle horse.
One grabbed the lasso
And he roped old Zebra down
Gave the rope to the stranger,
Stepped back to see the fun.
