Reel 369, Item 9
_______ heard in a beatiful story
Of a country far over the sea From which came our ancesters To establish this land of the free
There are some folks who like to travel And see what they have over there But when they look, it's not like a book And they find there is none to compare
To beautiful, beautiful Texas Wher the beautiful blue bonnets grow We're proud of our forefathers Who fought at the Alamo
We can live on the plains or the mountains Or down where the sea breezes blow And we're still in the beautiful Texas Most beautiful state that we know
We can travel on beautiful highways Or travel above on the skyways But the city, the village, or farm and a beautiful glow is our charm
Our cotton, green fields, blue rivers We've fields and fruit trees that bear We can look ever way then we can say
That Texas has beauty to spare
While we're speakin' of beautiful Texas There's jist one thing we jist have to say Six million people are glad they're hear to stay
It's great to be healthy and happy and that seems to be our good fate So let us all smile for life is worthwhile When we live in this beautiful state.
