I've got one I tell on myself. About me and my buddy Jim. Tell
them we went to a reunion and we met two girls from Pineville, Missouri.
That used to be the worst backwoods town in the mid-west. And they
asked us to come up. And we started up there and got lost on the
trailways and there was an old man standing, looking up a tree and
I told Jim I'd ask him. I rode out and I says, Uncle, tell us how to
go to Pineville. He says, It's a squirrel. I said, We're not interested
in squirrels. We want to go to Pineville. He said, Yes, there's two
of them. They're fox squirrels. Awful gord for dumplings. So I said,
We're not interested an the squirrels. I said, We want to find the
road to Pineville. And Jim says, Aw, come on, Booth, he's a damned old
fool. He says, The woods is full of 'em and there's more coming from
Arkansas all the time.
