"Years ago in Rock Island, I was with a Salvation Army, drummer. My first night on the streets I was beating march time and passed a man playing "Marching Through Georgia" on a violin, and I couldn't keep from breaking march time and to to keeping time with
him. And he dropped his fiddle ____ and said, 'There
goes a born musician.'"
