Reel 390 Item 12
Raise the window mother darling For it cannot harm me now Let thebreeze blow in upon me It will cool my fevered brow.
It will soon relieve my sorrow it will soothe my aching heart For I have a dying message I must speak befor we part.
There is one your know him mother
Though I dare not call his name woo'd For with tender word he walded me With tender words he came.
Till he won my young affection Cruelly casting me aside.
Till he wooed and won another Fairer girl to be his bride.
Take this ring from off ay finger That ho placed here long ago Give it to him as a message That in dying I bestow.
Tell him it was a pledge dear mother
Of forgiveness and of love
and before the morning dawneth
I'll be with the angels above.
