Reel 73, Item 7
The Wreck of the Titanic
On the tenth day of April,
Nineteen hundred and twelve,
The ship by the name the Titanic
From Liverpool sailed with the swell;
She was headed for New York City,
With a cargo of wealth untold,
Off the shores of the Newfoundland Island
She sank in the waters so cold.
While the mighty ship was sinking,
In the cold and icy sea,
The last the band was heard to play
Was Nearer My God to Thee.
Some from this vessel were rescued,
While others were left to their fate,
But all will be right in the Judgment,
Yes, there all the crook will be made straight,
Our Savior who knew all about it,
Who ruled o'er land and sea,
He knew what to them then would happen,
He knew what their ending would be.
